Avignonesi is a winery with an excellent pedigree from the Tuscany region. The vines are planted at an altitude of 270-330m above sea level, on alkaline soils with layers of clay, sand, and silt, of Pleistocene origin at Le Capezzine and Pliocene origin at I Poggetti. Avignonesi takes a biodynamic approach to all its vineyards.

In Grandi Annate is only produced during the best vintages. The philosophy behind this wine is to highlight the best traits of Sangiovese from Tuscany. The bouquet is broad and accessible with Sangiovese-driven tones of dried cherry and moist earth or tobacco. The tightness of the wine's textual composition is what stands out most and there is a hint of cherry sweetness that adds to the volume and density you feel on the finish.
