In just eight years, Armand Heitz has achieved the remarkable feat of restoring the historic family winery, which now boasts both legendary Côtes de Beaune wines and more affordable, experimental offerings.
Throughout its history, the village of Meursault has never sought to claim grand cru status for any of its vineyards. This is unfortunate, as its premier crus are just as prestigious as the grand crus of Montrachet or Corton. The 2020 Meursault Vireuils offers aromas of citrus, green apple, peach, white flowers, dried herbs, and spices. On the palate, the wine is balanced, buttery, and well-structured, with a smooth texture, harmonious acidity, floral and spicy flavors, and a long, salty-mineral finish.
Respect for nature and minimizing environmental impact are fundamental principles not only in the vineyard but also in the winery. Armand Heitz firmly believes that wines should be allowed to develop with minimal intervention, resulting in a diverse portfolio of wines that showcase character and intensity, uniquely reflecting the terroir. Our selection of wines from Domaine Armand Heitz offers the perfect opportunity to experience the exceptional craftsmanship of this thriving estate.
