«Longitude» means length and the very pure, straight style, from those great Côte des Blancs terroirs with practically outcropping chalk. This non-vintage cuvee contains 40% of wines coming from perpetual reserve begun in 2004. Longitude is medium to full-bodied, chalky and incisive, with a rich core of fruit, racy acids and a pretty pinpoint mousse. Concluding with a long, saline finish, it's more chiseled than its Latitude counterpart and represents an appreciable step up.
Larmandier-Bernier is one of the finest estates in the Côte des Blancs. The Larmandier family farms organically, harvesting late and vinifying their wines in oak barrels. The result is full-bodied, terroir-driven Champagnes.
