The high proportion of Chardonnay (40%) allows Champagne Taittinger Cuvée Prestige Brut to fully reveal its aromatic potential after long ageing. It is unusual for a non-vintage blend to contain such a high proportion of Chardonnay, but this is what makes the champagne consistent and world-renowned. The aroma is open and expressive, with fruit and freshly baked bread, along with peach, white flowers, and vanilla pod. The palate starts fresh and harmonious. This is a gastronomic champagne with fresh fruit character.

Notably, since 1988, a minor portion, roughly 5%, of the vins clairs used in crafting Comtes de Champagne experiences a brief maturation period in wood.
