The 2018 Meursault 1er Cru Perrières is sourced from exceptional vineyards situated near the renowned Clos des Perrières of Grivault. When poured into a glass, it reveals a bouquet of aromas, including pear, green apple, freshly baked bread, Meyer lemon, and oyster shell. This medium to full-bodied wine is luscious and pleasing to the senses, with a smooth and velvety initial impression that transitions into a rich and multi-layered mid-palate. Given its prime location, it is not surprising that this particular expression of Perrières exhibits a broader and more opulent character, reminiscent of a grand cru style.

The Meursault Premier Cru "Perrieres" is one of the most esteemed vineyards in the Meursault appellation, often considered the best of its Premier Cru sites. Located at the southern end of Meursault in the Côte de Beaune, Burgundy, this vineyard is renowned for producing Chardonnay wines with great minerality and complexity. The name Perrières refers to the stone quarries historically found in the region, which also characterize the vineyard’s stony, limestone-rich soils, contributing to its distinct mineral-driven wines. Meursault Perrières wines are praised for their precision, energy, and longevity. They typically show vibrant acidity with a saline finish, making them age-worthy and capable of developing further complexity over time. These wines are often compared to the Grand Cru wines of neighboring Montrachet due to their richness and finesse
