Domaine Les Monts Fournois
A fresh project rooted in tradition

Domaine Les Monts Fournois is a new initiative led by Juliette Alips, with the support of her cousins Raphaël and Vincent Bérêche. Based in Ludes, in the northern Montagne de Reims, it stands alongside the historic Bérêche family domaine—offering a fresh perspective while staying connected to its roots.

Juliette was born and raised in Champagne. Her passion for wine emerged early, and she learned the fundamentals of winemaking and Champagne production under the guidance of her cousins. After studying at the Beaune wine school, she went on to gain hands-on experience with top producers such as Louis Latour in Burgundy, G.D. Vajra in Piedmont, and Maison Roederer. With this foundation, she returned to Champagne to take the lead at Les Monts Fournois.

A domaine in its early days

At this stage, the only true estate wine is a Coteaux Champenois. Champagne from their estate vineyards in Ludes is still a few years from release. In the meantime, Juliette and her cousins have launched a small négoce project, based on the former range of the Bérêche brothers.

Working with a wide network of trusted grower friends, they source purchased fruit and vins clairs, which are then finished and disgorged at Les Monts Fournois. It’s an agile, thoughtful approach that allows the team to craft wines with character while waiting for their estate fruit to mature.

Three cuvées, three regions

The négoce wines are organized under three regional names:

  • Côte – from the Côte des Blancs
  • Montagne – from the Montagne de Reims
  • Vallée – from the Vallée de la Marne

Each label features the name of the village (or villages) the fruit comes from in the top-right corner. The back label includes detailed information: cépage, full village names, and disgorgement dates—making transparency a central part of the project.

It’s a domaine in motion, led with quiet confidence. And even in these early stages, it’s already one worth paying close attention to.
