The Sacy family has cultivated vines in Champagne since 1633, with the estate based in the village of Verzy, classified as Grand Cru on the Montagne de Reims. Over the centuries, viticultural knowledge has been passed down through generations, and in 2018 a new chapter began with the creation of Champagne Sacy Sœur & Frère by Yaël and Jonathan Sacy. Their vision blends respect for terroir with a modern approach to both vineyard management and winemaking.
The domaine today extends across 18 hectares in six villages and 27 identifiable plots, with vines averaging 33 years of age. Pinot Noir accounts for 65% of the plantings, complemented by 30% Chardonnay and 5% Meunier. The soils range from clay-limestone to marl, with prestigious holdings in Verzy (Grand Cru), as well as parcels in Cernay, the Marne Valley, the Ardre Valley, and the Côte des Bar.
From the beginning, the focus has been on cuvées that express purity and individuality. Two distinct lines define the range: Monos, dedicated to single-varietal Champagnes, and Parcellaires, highlighting unique vineyard origins. Among the core wines are a Blanc de Noirs and a Rosé de Maceration, both sourced from the family’s Grand Cru vines in Verzy.
Sustainability is central to the estate’s philosophy. Since 2021, the domaine has been in conversion to organic viticulture, with Ecocert certification achieved in 2023 and further plots in transition. The vineyards are also certified HVE (High Environmental Value) and VDC (Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne), underscoring a commitment to biodiversity, careful water management, and long-term environmental responsibility.
The artistic dimension is equally important. Labels designed by a local artist tell stories connected to the terroir and family tradition, reinforcing the identity of each cuvée. This thoughtful combination of creativity, authenticity, and precision has allowed Yaël and Jonathan Sacy to quickly establish a distinctive voice in the Champagne landscape.
The portfolio also includes a Kosher Champagne – Cuvée Kasher Mevushal Brut, reflecting openness to diverse markets and audiences.
