Collaboration with Henri Giraud is always an exceptional and rare event, born of a history of friendship and shared values. Over the years, many joint projects, creative initiatives, and customized solutions have been realized, including the creation of famous bottles on which Henri Giraud craftsmen have engraved the names of the world's most prestigious restaurants and bars. In addition, some celebrities and private individuals have also commissioned this service for special occasions.
"These collaborations allow us to look at the world of wine in a new way. Rational thinking gives way to instinct and intuition,’ notes Claude Giraud. "Each partnership brings surprising discoveries and fascinating human stories. This curiosity inspires us, adding new facets to the passion and skill of those who bring these projects to life."
Few of us realize that mighty oaks need human intervention and care for their survival and reproduction. It takes 180 years for an oak tree to grow. In today's world, where all processes are accelerating, planting an oak tree is a meaningful endeavor. Each of us can contribute to the preservation of the forests that are near us.
The Henri Giraud project, launched in 2013, was inspired by just such motivations and aims to protect the local Argonne forest as part of the Forever and Ever Argonne initiative with the French National Forestry Office (ONF). The purchase of each bottle of ARGONNE cuvée contributes to funding the planting of a new two-year-old oak tree and ensures its care for the next five years. The program to protect the Argonne Forest and preserve Champagne's heritage is actively pursued and more than 50,000 new oak trees have already been planted.
Creating the most sustainable packaging on the planet... The renowned architect Shigeru Ban, who was awarded the Pritzker Prize in 2014, the most prestigious honor in architecture, has been using cardboard tubes in his designs for over two decades. This hollow material, which is used in textile production and the formation of cement, is distributed all over the world and is extremely cheap.
Personally involved in the construction of shelters for victims of natural disasters, he also uses these tubes in his architectural projects. As a long-time friend of Henri Giraud, he contributed an innovative visual style to the design of the ARGONNE 2008 cuvée.
He is convinced that great wine is recognizable by its impeccable appearance, and so he did the unexpected..... he packaged one of the world's finest champagnes in simple cardboard tubes, joined together in such a way as to give the bottle the necessary support. This turned the packaging into a truly poetic creation.
What do a renowned whisky expert and a famous champagne producer discuss when they meet? To celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of master distiller Richard Paterson's work, The Dalmore - premium whisky - has unveiled a unique 50-year-old single malt, the last 50 days of which have been matured in exclusive Henri Giraud Champagne casks.
The barrels selected stand out for their unique intensity and outstanding aromatic depth, adding an exquisite acidity to this piece.
A great partnership based on a commitment to excellence. "It has been an extreme pleasure to work with my friend Richard Paterson. Henri Giraud and The Dalmore's multi-generational products demonstrate a deep awareness of quality. Both brands are driven by a genuine passion for the ideal and a desire to create something exceptional. The Dalmore 50 Years Old is a clear confirmation of this philosophy,’ said Claude Giraud.
