We offer access to Champagne Emmanuel Brochet Selected — rarely available on the open market.
Emmanuel Brochet “Selected” is a rare series in which Brochet steps beyond his single vineyard, Le Mont Benoit (2.5 ha), working with fruit sourced from leading organic growers across the region; unlike his estate releases from Villers-Aux-Noeuds, these cuvées are produced only in years when the fruit meets his strict standards; the idea behind the series is to explore specific terroirs and grape expressions beyond his home village, while maintaining his approach to precision and handling of the material; the style is Extra Brut with low dosage (around 3 g/L), focused on clarity, tension, and a mineral, saline backbone.
Emmanuel Brochet is based in Villers-aux-Nœuds, where his family retained a single parcel — Le Mont Benoit (2.5 ha), a chalky, southeast-facing slope; after decades under lease, he reclaimed it in 1997 and built a project focused entirely on one terroir; conditions here are demanding — thin soils, wind exposure, and temperature swings — shaping wines defined by tension, energy, and a mineral backbone; since 2005, he has moved away from chemicals, achieving organic certification in 2011, while in the cellar he works with oak fermentation, native yeasts, and minimal sulfur; ageing lasts around 11 months in barrel, with partial renewal each year; the range remains compact: Le Mont Benoit (NV), Les Hautes Vignes from the upper vines, and Rosé d’Assemblage using fruit from La Motelle; with less than 3 hectares in total, production is limited, and the style is built on precision, transparency, and a single-site focus.
