The 2013 Marc Hébrart Rive Gauche-Rive Droite Grand Cru offers a focused expression of equal parts Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, sourced from Grand Cru vineyards. Fermented and aged in oak, it stands out within the range, delivering additional texture and depth. Aromas of pear, quince, nougat, white flowers, and brioche contribute to its layered complexity. The dosage is set at 4.5 grams per liter, balancing its profile with precision. This Champagne is approachable now but promises further development through 2045.

Champagne Marc Hébrart, established in 1963 by Marc Hébrart in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, is now led by his son, Jean-Paul Hébrart. The estate spans approximately 14.5 hectares, encompassing 80 parcels across 11 villages, including notable Grand Cru sites in Aÿ, Louvois, Avize, Oiry, and Chouilly, as well as Premier Cru vineyards in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, Bisseuil, Avenay-Val-d’Or, Dizy, and Hautvillers. The vineyard composition is predominantly 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay. Jean-Paul Hébrart practices sustainable viticulture, minimizing synthetic treatments and emphasizing the unique characteristics of each parcel. Vinification is conducted separately for each plot to preserve their distinct identities, with most wines fermented in stainless steel. Since 2004, the estate has incorporated barrel fermentation for certain cuvées, such as the 'Rive Gauche-Rive Droite,' which blends Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs with Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims. As a member of the Club Trésors de Champagne, Marc Hébrart produces the 'Spécial Club' cuvée, representing the pinnacle of their craftsmanship. The estate's Champagnes are recognized for their elegance, balance, and expression of terroir, offering both intellectual engagement and immediate enjoyment.
