Marc Hébrart is a grower-Champagne domaine that thrives on precision and diversity, managing 80 parcels across 11 villages. Led by Jean-Paul Hébrart, it balances tradition with innovation, producing sustainably farmed wines that reflect the unique character of their terroirs.
Champagne Marc Hebrart Selection 1er Cru Extra Brut is a Champagne that reflects the character of its terroirs and the winemaker's commitment to balance. Made from grapes grown in the Premier Cru vineyards of the Vallée de la Marne, it combines Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in a vibrant style that showcases its origins. Selection Premier Cru Extra Brut is an even drier style of Champagne. The vines have an average age of 40 years, with an average ageing period of 3 years on lees. Lemon confit, white flowers, apricot, mint, chamomile, and plum come together in an understated, stylish Champagne ready to drink now.
Marc Hébrart is a family-owned domaine with roots dating back to 1962, when Marc Hébrart began producing his own Champagne. Today, the domaine is led by his son Jean-Paul, who took over in 1997 and continues to expand their holdings, now encompassing 16 hectares across 11 villages. These include prized parcels of Pinot Noir in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, Louvois, and Aÿ, as well as Chardonnay in Oiry, Avize, Chouilly, and Cramant. Among the highlights is the Clos le Léon, a rare enclosed vineyard in Dizy. The vineyards are managed sustainably, minimizing interventions to prioritize the health of the vines and the expression of the terroir. Vinification is done by parcel, offering precision and versatility in blending, as well as the opportunity for single-vineyard Champagnes. While stainless steel remains the primary method for vinification, the domaine has embraced barrel fermentation for select cuvées, such as the Rive Droite-Rive Gauche—a blend of Côte des Blancs Chardonnay and Marne Valley Pinot Noir, showcasing their dedication to innovation and tradition.
