Renowned for precision and authenticity, Champagne Vazart-Coquart crafts wines using a perpetual solera and small stainless steel tanks to capture Chouilly's mineral elegance. As a member of the prestigious 'Club Trésors du Champagne,' the domaine is celebrated for its commitment to exceptional quality.
The Champagne Vazart-Coquart Grand Bouquet Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut 2017 is a vintage crafted exclusively from 100% Chardonnay grapes sourced from the Grand Cru village of Chouilly in the Côte des Blancs, showcasing the finesse and purity of this renowned terroir. Vinified in stainless steel tanks, it preserves the freshness and minerality of the Chardonnay. Partial malolactic fermentation balances acidity with a creamy texture, while six years of aging on lees enhances complexity and depth. With a low dosage of 2 grams per liter, this Extra Brut emphasizes a crisp and dry character. Aromatically, it offers a bouquet of exotic flowers, spices, dried fruits, and a hint of citrus. On the palate, the wine delivers a creamy and fruity mouthfeel, supported by vibrant freshness and a long, persistent finish. This champagne reflects Vazart-Coquart's dedication to producing refined and expressive wines that capture the unique characteristics of Chouilly's Grand Cru vineyards.
Three generations have overseen the Vazart-Coquart since its founding, with Louis, Jacques, and now Jean-Pierre each contributing to its development. All the plots are located within the Grand Cru terroir of Chouilly in the Côte des Blancs, where Chardonnay is the predominant grape variety. Of the estate’s 30 plots, only two are planted with Pinot Noir. Deeply rooted in its terroir, the estate is committed to environmental respect and is now certified organic. The Vazart-Coquart crafts champagnes known for their minerality, lightness, and elegance.
